The Desk House | Stop Motion Trials
This is the first in many trials to come! I'm currently in the process of building and producing physical items that will be made into a little set for a stop motion project; but to get to that scale I wanted to first explore a simple structure build would look like on screen.
This led to the below animation and still frames:
These tests have proved very useful as I'm going to take these thoughts and actionable critiques forward into the next stage of production:
- Making sure the bottom of what is created is in someway even and flat so as to avoid awkward gaps at the bottom of structures.
- Setting my camera to manual focus so as to avoid focus dipping.
- Having either something to assist turning assets, or keeping a tighter line of my 'x marks the spot'.
- Paying more attention to the speed of turning items, to account for easing and acceleration as well as consistancy
